Right, so I myself haven’t posted in a while but more importantly my friends who normally do post are also busy with college. YET, we somehow average 100+ views a day. Why is this? Is it our League of Legends topics? Is it our random geek thrills and photography? Or is it my obsession with Deadpool? Either way, I feel really bad not posting and I know we have readers who would love to add to the site so, I am looking for Authors / Editors. I know we are called So Cash, and we haven’t been playing Eve online lately but I don’t care. If you play Eve Online and you wish to tell us a tale about Hi-sec war or better yet a 0.0 experience. Then I’ll let you. if you play League of Legends by Riot games and want to post your Tier list vs others or maybe you want to post a champion guide or build order, go right ahead! I will have it so. Tell me what you want to do, even if you are a photography major or journalist major at a university somewhere and you are required to or are just looking for a blog to add your own personal flair to, then DO IT! Ask, and you shall receive. The only guidelines I ask you follow is to credit people if you use their material. (No stealing!) and try to not post obscene material that would only be adults. A few curse words such as “Fuck” every now and then aren’t stressful but don’t post a game review bashing a game entirely with profanity. Post gamer / geek / student friendly topics and have fun. So it’s been alive for a couple years now but alas has been stolen far too much for anyone to realize it. Other people are making player model packs and in every release I catch the script there as if it’s open source. At least they leave the “echo” in there. Maybe they think that, that particular line of code “…Tell the police to investigate Garry Newmen..” is apart of a vast system required to have more player models. I honestly don’t care anymore, it’s brought us how many cool machinimas? Recently I’ve been spammed with messages like “why isn’t this on garrysmod.org, someone please upload it there”. So I finally consider it but as SOON as I upload it it get’s flagged and deleted. I check the rules and it didn’t break any. Just seems to me like a jumpy admin or something doesn’t want it on there. Hell I just saw a model that m friend Noobguy hexed a long while. When he did he renamed it Neo_Heavy. Now Going to the main page I see this: http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=76713

The naming is the same and everything. Pretty much screams stolen. So I am done. I don’t have the time anymore to worry about these things. Two jobs take up almost all of my time and I generally play Eve. So Catch us online if you want.

Was going through my Screenshot folder. A folder specifically for when I take a screenshot of my desktop or something on my computer. As opposed to a game screenshot or something. Some of them were just so nostalga or hilrious or both. So I figured I’d share.

Most public schools are out by now and the classes of ’08′ have had their graduations. Now those students are either preparing themselves for college, working a summer job, or just party all summer. Can’t say I don’t try to do all of those cause I have a wide variety of friends after all. Of course June is also a month lacking good game releases this year, so I’ve been bored. GTA 4 lost it for me a bit early but that was because I was too busy with school to put any time in. I do however bring my laptop around with me giving me chances to play PC games here and there. So I have games I play when I’m around Internet and games I play when I can’t find wifi.

For when I’m up in the mountains on weekends I tend to play more RTS titles Like Age of mythology, C&C, Warcraft 3, and my favorite Supreme Commander. (Expansions included)

I would play CSS with bots if I could but if you have it you should know how anal it likes to be in offline mode and letting you create servers. I could still play Garry’s mod tough so I should be happy, and if I’m in the mood I’ll play StepMania or AudioSurf. Hell, I carry my Oblivion disc around as well in case I ever feel like playing it again.

When I’m online (usually at home or work), lately it’s been CounterStrike: Source, Team Fortress 2, Defcon and even World of Warcraft. Some buddies at school got me back into it last quarter and had me subscribe for 6 months. Only because they wanted a good healer/Tank and my Blood Elf Pally seemed good enough for the job. I usually only play at work though. It seems like the best time right? I mean that’s when everyone else (at work) is playing it.

This past weekend for example I was at my place where I have no Internet access at my home, so I’m stuck with my offline games. Here’s a picture of my setup on Saturday. This is the first pic I’ve ever shown of my place aside from my room at my parent’s (Where I have internet Access). So make note I most likely won’t be online on weekends.

Aside from all this ranting, Valve released the TF2-Meet the Sniper Video today. I absolutely love these videos and personally can’t wait to see Meet the Pyro when it comes out. In other news, the only games I’m currently looking forward to are Fable 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, Halo Wars, and Gears of War 2 towards the end of the year. There are probably going to be others but for now I’m broke and I’ll stick to what I already have.

My internet was shut off yesterday and according to my ISP it’s because I had my plan scheduled for a change to Fios come next Wednesday. They called this a “Migration phase”, so I asked “So I can’t go online now because my fucking internet is migrating?” they replied “yes”. Of course I knew they were going to shut it off but to my understanding when all the paper work was filled out I was told it it wouldn’t be turned off till the same day. Sounds more logical than the Thursday before hand. In case your wondering or have forgotten I have Verizon. It’s a “Family” decision not mine so don’t bust my balls. We were planning on switching to Comcast but every time we called we got someone who didn’t speak english and didn’t know what plans were available. How can you pay CSR’s to sit around and not have information for the people who are actually giving you business? Fucking shit heads.

Anyway, I’ve been trying to bum off a neighbors’ unprotected wireless connection but that doesn’t work for more than a few minutes do to local interference. Right now I’m at work so I obliviously have internet. I even decided to do some Gmod posings this morning to illustrate this situation.

I’m not as good as Dark at posing but as you can see the ISP is so evil it has no model but you can see all the knives it holds ready to stab you in the back.

If that doesn’t kill you they have a hired Heavy ready to throw you through a window.

I also made a few into motivators to add to the Rave.

All the Team Fortress 2 motivation comes from the new Medic achievements that came out recently.

A few of these just came out this month. Okami being one of them proved to be more than I expected. It’s one of those rare games that look beautiful above others and have that Uniqueness that will make you remember every moment. Gamespot did a good review of it here. The new Mario Kart that came out Sunday the 27′th was another one. I would have to quote my friend Shadou for this: If Nintendo is going to resurrect their Franchises I’m going to be the idiot that goes out and buys them. Or something along those lines. I know they recycle a lot of their material. Nintendo is well known for that in my eyes because they don’t hide it what so ever but it’s still Mario Kart on the Wii! You get to use a little wheel with your Wii mote. Other than a very lacking online system, this game isn’t too bad. If your saving your money for GTA4 you might as well, the new Mario doesn’t bring us enough to boast about. Again with the recycling material. See Gamespot’s Review for a better explanation of these ups and downs here.

Then there’s a game that I alone on this Team have been loving. I believe only 3 of us here at TL have a PSP so that may be the reason. You might of guessed the game I’m getting to is Crisis Core. If you’ve experienced Final Fantasy 7 (FF7), a Legend of a game back on the Playstation or possibly seen Advent Children the movie or even caught a glimpse of Before the Crisis than you must have some motive to check Crisis Core out already. I got wind there was going to be a FF7 title on the PSP back before PSPs came out in America. That was how many years ago? Still I can safely say I bought a PSP mainly for this game. All my other PSP games have disappointed me but this one leaves me with stiff arms.

I seem to be beating around the bush here. Crisis Core puts you in the shoes of Zack, from the original title and let’s you live the events leading up to FF7! The game play mechanics still have that FF feel but also brings back the mechanics they used in the Kingdom Hearts games on the PS2. The graphics are similar to Kingdom Hearts except no Disney Characters. If you have a PSP but not this game, then there is something wrong with you. Maybe you don’t like RPGs or Final Fantasy titles but do remember FF7 was the one that proved to be the greatest of all the Final Fantasys. Of course now a days those graphics are horrible so we can only hope they resurrect the game. I mean come on Square-Enix, if Nintendo can do it you can too! I don’t have a PS3 but I would buy one if they released a remake of FF7 only on the PS3. Check a review on it here if you want.

Well I guess I should mention GTA4 now that it’s out. I’m sad that such a successful franchise has been so leaked. Games that are actually good should be supported. -oops I mean all games should be supported! I’m talking about the new GTA already making it’s way here a week or so ago through the internet. I already repurchased the game so why would I want to download it? I haven’t done much with the game yet but I can tell you I’m excited to play it with the rest of the TL crew and friends. Of course I’ve been elected the driver so don’t expect anything less than crazy from me. I’m going for the same things I pulled in my Halo 3: Killing under the Influence video that you can find on the right menu. If your lazy click here to watch it off Gamespot or you can find it on my Youtube. Nothing was rehearsed in that video or any of my videos. When I drive, shit always happens, let’s hope not for the worst however.

Before I forget, those who got the collector’s edition got their copy of GTA4 inside a lock box. Inside the lock box is two keys for the lock box, a Rockstar key chain, a duffel bag, a little soundtrack with music from the game on 16 tracks, a book with art from the game, and of course your copy of the game. If your reluctant to purchase GTA4 because you think it’s no different than the others then let me spoil some more of it for you. There’s online mulitplayer 2-16 people and 2-4 player co-op. Also: the multiplayer has a nice little level up system probably similar to COD4 but not in the weapon customization way. The new GTA does not have airplanes like in San Andreas but that’s mostly because it’s all city; Liberty City. Yes, back again, counting the third time if you played Liberty City Stories for the PSP. At least we still have helicopters and the like. Have fun guys.

The new Cod4 and Halo3 Map packs are out. Cod4 coming out last week and halo3′s coming out just yesterday. Since Dark had a better look at the maps I’ll let him leave an explanation below. As for Cod4 if you’ve played Cod2 you’ll recognize one of the new maps, “China Town” to be a remake of an old favorite. the Halo3 map pack itself had a few remakes. One from Halo 1 & 2. I’m sure I left out enough for Dark to fill in but I can’t remember much on the Cod4 maps because I’ve been busy playing other games. I’ll post links to Gamespot reviews of these map packs below.10 Bucks a map pack may seem expensive to the cheap but it really isn’t, help those map designers feed their familys even though they definitely have the money you Pricks!

This has led me to tampering with PMod again. Speaking of which there’s a guy named DarkNovaClan on the FacePunch Forums who’s been doing model animations for all the models. he even fixed those nasty weapon animation problems with CSS models. Go to the PMod thread to see my latest changes to the thread to go by his explanations. The only recent changes to the script I made were to exclude a few more loose animations from being added to the player menu because that’s just uneeded clutter.

He also did a really good mod that I recomend getting that adds seats to the game (Like PHX did the airboat seat) but unlike that one little seat we got in PHX these have perfect sitting animations. Plus he adds a passenger seat to the Vehicles (not Airboat). Here’s some pics:

Maps for Legends

I downloaded the Legendary Map Pack yesterday and played through them. Keep reading for my thoughts on these levels, and also to eyeball the sweet banners I made for each map.

Avalanche! The much-anticipated remake of Sidewinder. To my knowledge it’s the largest map in any Halo game, even surpassing Sandtrap in size.

Overall the geometry of Avalanche remains essentially unchanged from Sidewinder, keeping the same horseshoe-shaped level with a base at either end of the horseshoe, but some awesome things lay in between. The outside curve of the horseshoe is now an open cliff edge, and vaulting over it will cause you to fall to your death into a floe of icebergs.

The ladders in the base were replaced with ramps, with a Man Cannon at the top which launches players out into the middle of their team’s side. At the landing of that Man Cannon there’s one which leads right back to where the first one launches from, which will probably make for some frantic attempts to capture the flag and make a quick getaway.

The teleporter in each base is still there, which leads out to two lookout points on either side of the horseshoe curve, which are two elevated points with rocket launchers, with plain sight to the center of the curve, which has a tripmine and a Spartan Laser in the center. Interestingly enough, there are also Man Cannons embedded in the walls behind these lookout points, and jumping into one will propel you into the center.

Halfway out each team’s side there is a shortcut tunnel which connects the two sides, with a shotgun spawn in the middle. Also connected here is a Man Cannon which can launch players to and from a corridor which leads to the tripmine and Spartan Laser.

Gameplay-wise, it plays the way you’d expect a large vehicle-based map to play. The DLC matchmaking playlist currently sets up team matches with four on each side, and even with four on each side, the map is still very large. Definitely a Big Team Battle map.

Cosmetically speaking, the map looks beautiful. Looking into the skybox, the map is situated on the Halo ring which was being constructed above the Ark at the end of the Campaign. Off in the distance you can see smoldering red patches where the ring is still being put together.

Also cool to notice are that all of the Human vehicles have had their traditional paintjobs replaced with white snowfield camouflage. A nice touch. The Hornet makes it first appearance as a default vehicle, but at a price. The machine gun firepower has been reduced, and there are no homing missiles. This only applies to this map, however.

Blackout. The remake of Lockout. While Guardian was supposed to be the throwback to Lockout, fan requests have brought back this classic almost exactly the same as it was back then. Now, however, instead of being situated under an icy cliff on Halo, it’s now a human weather station in the Antarctic. Comes complete with dazzling aurora effects in the night skies above.

Not much new to say about this map, the geometry is almost exactly the same as its Halo 2 counterpart, with most of the weapons in their same places. Even the fusion cores are where they used to be. The Battle Rifle platform which sits opposite the level to the Sniper Rifle tower is a little bit larger, but that’s pretty much it.

Ghost Town is something entirely new, but if I had to equate it to an existing map, I’d say it’s like a larger version of Halo 2′s Turf. It’s a lot of close, tightly-packed corridors with little room for vehicles. Ghost Town is a two-tiered level, and a lot of attention should be paid to what may be above or below you. I haven’t played on this one as much as the other two, but it was still a decent map to play some Shotty Snipers on.

They also added some new Forge stuff which I unfortunately didn’t get around to getting screens of. Spawnable items in the game actually create color filters on your screen, which can be placed in the level for both neat screenshots, as well as providing the right atmosphere for a level. The Gloomy effect darkens all of the colors, while enhancing light sources, which creates a real horror-movie style atmosphere. Put this on Blackout and you’ve got yourself a scary zombie match.

My final verdict? Well worth the $10 (800 Microsoft Points) I paid for it, and I say that overall this is better than the Heroic Pack. The pack weighs in at over 400+ MB, so go download it now!

Why a bad start? Well March 1′st I got hurt and suffered some near fracture injuries to my hip so from then till now I’m felt pain walking, sitting, eating, sleeping and everything without pain killers that didn’t work to begin with! On to the good news. Aside from today being my birthday I feel a lot better. My laptop I ordered back in February finally came Yesterday and it is everything I thought it’d be. I can run Gmod better than ever before. Not to mention I get to see PMod from a better Resolution. I also tested Fraps and everything works perfectly. It takes aprox. 38 seconds to boot my laptop. Shutting down takes longer depending on how many programs I left running but regardless I installed tons of my favorite games and all the programs I use frequently from Photoshop to my Tablet software and still no problem. Thanks IBUYPOWER!

For some reason, I feel compelled to make a blog entry today. There’s not really any news to speak of, aside from the new Vista laptop my father gave me as a grad present (which is strange, because I haven’t even graduated yet). Some new furniture is coming into my bedroom tomorrow, so I’ll have a new desk and a place to put that laptop. Yay.

I’ve been so bored recently. Every game I have I’ve played into the ground. Even Rock Band isn’t keeping me occupied for hours like it used to. Gmod makes even this computer chug at times now, which is why I look forward to moving all of my Steam games over to the other one. Maybe I’ll pick up Unreal Tournament 3 while I’m at it.

There’s just not really anything to look forward to until Super Smash Bros. Brawl comes out, and that’s in another month…

Kill me. Now. Or help me acquire a time-traveling DeLorean.

Also in a month is the first pack of Mass Effect downloadable content. You can go check out details about it here. For 400 points, it seems like something worth checking out come March 10th.

Since I’m pretty much redoing the layout of my room, I figure I’ll take this opportunity to order some prints or posters to fill up empty space on my walls. I was thinking about getting that big Episode Two lithograph Valve has in their store, but I haven’t decided on anything yet.

Aside from those bits of news you probably don’t care about, that’s all I’ve got. To balance the lack of humor in this blog: bosoms melons milk factories busts fun bags knockers boobies nipples jugs jubblies FUCKING GREAT TITS.
