2008’s off to a wonderful start

Dark Spartan796

If by wonderful you mean sick with a double ear infection as well as seasonal allergies. I feel like shit. Yesterday my right ear started to hurt really bad, so I had to go to the hospital and get powerful medications and antibiotics. I’ve had ear infections all my life, so it’s nothing new. Hopefully I’ll be over it by next week, which, incidentally is when school starts back up. God damn it.

Anyway, I went to GameStop on Monday and picked up Call of Duty 4 and Assassin’s Creed. I’ve heard great things about Creed, but I just can’t put COD4 down right now. Since I’m an Achievement whore (and since all of the Achievements in COD4 are in single player), I’ve been playing through the campaign on Veteran, the hardest difficulty. A lot of the time it’s challenging to get past, but some points it just gets fucking brutal (by brutal I mean spending two hours playing the same 30-second sequence to continue). I’ve had about five or six of these choke points so far, but hey! You get Achievements for beating the levels on Veteran, which saves me a lot of time when I’m going back through for other mission-specific Achievements.

It may just be my shit router, but it seems the procedures for finding and connecting to online games in COD4 is absolutely broken. I think I may have played six full matches so far at most. What I do manage to connect into, is just absolutely fun.

Once I’m done with COD4, I’ll dive into Assassin’s Creed. I played about the first hour or two into the story, and it looks like a lot of fun. I like how you have to keep a low profile while looking for your target and how the crowd reacts to what you’re doing. If you start climbing on walls, they’ll gather around and begin to question your sanity. If you run through the crowd, they’ll comment on you being in a hurry or being chased by someone. It’s nice to be noticed.

I also reserved Burnout Paradise and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It’s going to be a fun February.

Now I must go make a banner for this little collection of pages we call a website. Try not to let the URL hit you on the way out.

Halp! It’s snowing on my computer! *powers it down quick*

So, lemme get this straight: You’re probably going to be sick until about next week… just in time for school to start? Man, that’s like getting sick on a Saturday!

Well, that’s all I has to say. I don’t even really know why I commented. >:O But anyways. I’m off!

    *thwack* *mutter* Fricking URLs…
