My Feline friends

Rockmanneo12

As days go by it never seizes to amaze me how quickly things can happen. How quickly a lifestyle or a method of living is changed drastically in seconds. I never liked Mondays, waking up to a new week knowing my priority’s yet wishing it was tomorrow. So this last weekend was apparently fabulous for a lot of my friends. Some went to a Nightwish concert. Some to a movie, others to the mall. While I stayed home wondering what to do. I’ve been working on homework and other things to keep my grades up.

So I’m hoping for the best for everyone because as days go by we witness tragedies that affect our lives and change our attitudes. As most woke up today ready to go to school or perhaps some having a day of from the holiday or some going to work. I woke to find one of feline friends to have taken leave from my life forever. Some of you know Rocko has cats. For instance if you go to the gmod archive on the right you’ll notice my photo bucket has a cat category with pictures of all my kitties, except my most recent. There’s Buttons (Fat, lovely, caring, big brother to all other kitties in my house), Whiskers (Most innocent, everyone’s baby forever, sneaky, adorable), Skeeter (Fat, wants to be like Buttons, eats too much too often, loves everyone).

Then there was Shadou (most tame, lovable, stray Kittie). I only wish I had a picture but no film was developed. I’ve had a total of 5 birds, 1 dog, and 6 cats in my life. Out of all my pet’s Shadou lived the shortest lifespan. (Feb 2007 – Nov 12, 2007)

Yes, my most recent addition to my feline family was a victim of Canine influenza. All my pet’s up to him died of old age which makes me so sad inside.

I can only hope my other cats didn’t catch it from him. He got it because he used to be wild but we brought him in to shelter him. He was so tame he caused no trouble. His personality was very similar to my first cat, Snowy’s. Snowy was white yet the same breed and lived the longest. He was alive two summers of Whisker’s life.

So farewell my buddy. Your life was cut short. A lifestyle newly adapted quickly destroyed in a matter of hours. As days go by I wonder who I’m going to lose next? Not just my feline friends, but my real friends, or even my family. The wind changes direction. If only in our favor.

When I go home, the only friends I have waiting for me are my feline buddies! These pictures are proof enough.
